A coordination meeting for joint cooperation between the faculty of Arts and Languages ​​and the Department of Social Services and Mental Health at the Ministry of Education.

On Monday morning, June 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM, a coordination meeting was held at the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Arts and Languages ​​at the University of Tripoli. The meeting included the Dean of the Faculty; Ms. Nadia Al-Bakoush, Director of the Department of Social Service, School Health, and Psychological Support at the Ministry of Education; Ms. Hiam Abu Al-Khairat, Head of the Psychological Support Department; and Ms. Asmaa Al-Amoumi, Head of the Social Service Department. The meeting was also attended by the Vice Dean of the Faculty; the Head of the Graduate Studies Office; and the heads of the Departments of Social Service, Sociology, and Counseling and Psychotherapy.

This meeting comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation and integration between the Faculty of Arts and Languages ​​and the Department of Social Service and Mental Health, with the aim of supporting and developing psychological and social services within educational institutions.

During the meeting, coordination mechanisms were discussed between the two parties in the areas of field training for students in the departments of Social Service, Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and Sociology. Plans were also developed to organize training programs and joint initiatives that contribute to building the capacity of working personnel and achieving a tangible societal impact.

The meeting also reviewed the fourth phase of the Excellence Gateway Program for Social Workers and Psychologists, and emphasized the need to complete the Influential Social Worker Competition until the final results are announced.

In a related context, it was agreed to direct research and academic dissertations toward current societal issues, particularly those related to the education sector, to ensure their results are utilized in formulating educational policies and proposing scientific solutions to crises and problems facing educational institutions.

It was also agreed to open admissions to social workers wishing to enroll in the college's graduate programs (master's and doctoral degrees), supporting the development of professional competencies in this vital field.

At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees emphasized the importance of continuing such coordination meetings, given their pivotal role in strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions and government agencies, contributing to community service and improving the school environment and students' mental health.
